May 16, 2008 Kathmandu (www.Meyul.com): The Regional Tibetan Youth Congress, Kathmandu Nepal today organized a peace rally urging the peoples of Nepal and the whole world to support for Tibet. The rally was set to start from the Tibetan Refugee settlement in Jwalakhel, Lalitpur Nepal  and end at the Swoyambhunath in Kathmandu Nepal covering about 12 Km.

Although the rally started peacefully with singing of Tibetan National Anthem by around 250 Tibetans gathered who later marched forward to give the rally a successful end covered about 5 Km of the total distance . The Nepal security forces then barred and escorted the rally participants back to the Tibetan Refugee Settlement.

Though Many Tibetans in Nepal has bruises, cuts, and wounds on their body to show the severe beatings by the security forces, they are still very reluctant to withdraw their protests and further commits to carry on with their struggle until the recent crisis in Tibet reach a meaningful end which shall include release of all the political prisoners in Tibet with those recently arrested for peacefully demanding their rights.
