The Tibetan Womans Association of Kathmandu Nepal had organized a mass gathering at Lainchour , about five minutes walking distance from the Office of Tibet when it existed in Nepal. Although hundreds had been able to attend the gathering somehow many of Tibetans, specially Nuns could not make it to the venue as they were arrested on the way itself.
It has been quite a common practice to the Nepal security forces to make arbitrary arrest of Tibetans when they gets information of a mass gathering in protest of the Chinese rule over Tibet. At the actual venue also, Tibetans were arrested on the very arrival without getting time even to utter a word against the Chinese brutality. Many Tibetans today also had kicks and slaps from the local security forces and so far two nuns are learnt to be seriously injured.

Since March 10 this year, regular protests of Tibetans has been taking place and at the beginnings, security forces had been very harsh with brutal baton charges and firing tear gas shells directly to the Tibetan protestors. Due to strong interference of medias and the Human rights defendants of Nepal, it seems the security forces has lowered the use of excessive force against Tibetan protestors. But behind the presence of medias, the forces are somehow showing their unlawful behaviors by beating and making serious injuries to the Tibetans like it happened today also in moving vans and trucks of police ferrying Tibetans to the detention centres.
