BIGOTRY AND BIAS LIVE AND WELL IN CHINA

Posted: May 6th, 2008, by Gyalpo Tsering

1.4 billion Chinese vehemently blame all Tibetans for their woeful failure in presenting a happy face to their Olympic attempts, yet fail to realize their miserable failure of the Tibetan people these past fifty odd years. Brutally occupying and raping the land wasn’t enough, they have made Tibetans virtual prisoners in their own land, starving them, robbing them of basic necessities, torture and physical abuse and most of all desecrating their innermost beliefs are the order of the day
China owes Tibetans more than a bunch of roads and a railway line; she owes Tibet a century of apologies and reparations for the indiscriminate slaughter, rape and the prostitution of the Tibetan nation. If history is to be remembered, it was the Tibetans that saved millions of Chinese lives form being drown and put to the sword by their Mongolian over lords. It is a shame that instead of a thank you, China now treats all Tibetans as slaves and bonded labourers and making false claims to Tibetan sovereign lands. If the claims to Tibetan soil are to be made, it would be more appropriate for the Mongols to make them considering the fact that the “Yuan” dynasty was not a Chinese dynasty but a Mongolian rule in China. If China is so proud of the “Yuan” era, then they are essentially saying that China is a part of Mongolia!
The irony is that, the Chinese who claim to have saved us from our “corrupt and cruel” feudal system, now puts us in a far worst situation than that existed before their invasion. In Chinese eyes, Tibetans are to blame for all of China’s woes, for “splitting the motherland”, for inviting a volley of criticism from western media and politicians. However, behind the bamboo curtain, the Chinese are woefully short on “harmony” and “brotherhood” when it comes to treating Tibetans as “family” members. Technically, Tibetans are the “serfs” that replaced the Chinese bonded slaves of the nineteenth century China.
It is one thing to talk about bias against China and another to practice the same bias against a colonized nation. Far worse than verbal criticism that the west may lay on China’s door steps, China puts into practice the harsh realities of actually carrying out the bias, in the form of torture, distortion and complete and utter lies when it comes to the humane treatment of a colonized citizenry and her forced subjugation and amalgamation into the a Han centric order.
Even the Han Chinese students, who supposedly escaped from China’s repressive education system hold and cling to the same bias when it comes to the rights of Tibetans world wide. Tibetans have been called traitors and “splitters” of the mother, yet sadly it is they that have betrayed their brutal CCP government and China, for their thuggish behavour and beating of citizens of their host countries because their tiny little egos were hurt by an opposing opinion. If they cannot tolerate different views then these Chinese students should go back to where they came from and lick each and every CCP members behind and get a load of their own crap.
